This book is like reading the TV show Criminal Minds so much so that as I was reading I was matching the TV characters to the book characters in my mind I don't think that's a bad thing I happen to love Criminal Minds so this was definitely one of my favorite kind of books The book starts off strong and keeps going nonstop until the very last page Not for the sueamish this book definitely will keep you turning pages long into the night It is a fast read and you will find yourself really involved with their investigation The only reason I did not give this book 5 stars was that for the first 13 of the book there was too much head hopping too much character changing when I was not familiar enough with the characters It was confusing and seemed to jumble the story for me It seemed like there was no main character to focus on After that though things fell into place and it was easier to sort out Also the scenes shifted so fast especially the time and that was a bit hard to keep track of I had to highlight the dates to keep them straight though it really did not make too much of a difference what the date was just that time had passed This is definitely a book I would recommend and I would love to read books about this bunch of investigators

An engaging story where a FBI team is put together to seek out an apparent serial killer and a Black Ops operative is on a similar objective but working alone in parallel with the FBI team The FBI team is led by Special Agent in charge Gene Palomini and includes his older brother Marty a technical specialist Carl Agents Jerri Doug and information specialist Sam The current alias for the black ops fugitive is Paul Renner Although the FBI team members are experienced highly trained agents they are just not as fast and able with hand to hand combat as Paul Renner and he seems to delight in tweaking the noses of the FBI team as he goes about his agenda alerting them to the city of his next victim first followed later by the pending victim's initials then the location specifics just a little too late for them to prevent the killing The FBI team tries to discover any link between victims without success and the killings go on This is a fast action adventure that spans the nation with constant action demanding the readers attention and inducing an increased heart rate while trying to project where the story is going next As the story evolves it becomes apparent that Paul Renner and Gene's FBI team seem to have similar objectives and it seems that the most productive course of action may be to work in tandem rather than working at cross purposes This is a book and story that will engage the readers interest and keep them involved through the final sentence Looking forward to further books by these authors I highly recommend this action adventure
