It's not the porcelain as a subject I find it fascinating But the build up of the book doesn't work for me and where in The Hare his incredibly beautiful and poignant language floored me with admiration in this one it annoys me because it seems so forcedI'm sorry Mr De Waal but I do hope you write another book some time I will buy it hoping hoping hoping that it's another HareIf any of my friends want to give it a shot you can collect it here in Copenhagen V Untrue to form I have it as a hardcover book text ✓ The White Road a pilgrimage of sorts Ï Edmund de Waal
